Questions Before We Begin?
Choosing the right therapist, and the right kind of support, can bring up a lot of questions. Here are answers to some of the things you may be wondering about therapy, intensives, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, groups, and working with Soluna Soulwork.
-
Virtual therapy services are available to clients located in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Washington, D.C., where Marlo is authorized to practice. Availability for in-person services varies depending on the service and location.
-
A therapy intensive is an extended session that gives us more time to focus on a specific issue, pattern, or experience than a traditional weekly therapy session allows. Intensives may incorporate IFS, somatic work, mindfulness, and other trauma-informed approaches and are tailored to your individual goals.
-
An intensive may be a good fit if you feel stuck in a recurring pattern, want focused support around a specific issue, or would benefit from more time than a traditional therapy hour provides. We’ll discuss your goals and current needs during a consultation to determine whether an intensive is appropriate for you.
-
Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy combines psychotherapy with ketamine prescribed by a qualified medical provider. The medicine can support deeper emotional exploration while therapy provides a safe, intentional space to process what arises. Soluna Soulwork provides the psychotherapy component of your care; medical evaluation, prescribing, and medication management are handled by an independent medical provider.
-
KAP typically takes place in a two-hour psychotherapy session and includes support during the ketamine experience along with integration. A Ketamine Therapy Intensive provides a longer block of therapeutic time—typically three to six hours for clients who may benefit from more extended, focused work. We’ll discuss your goals and determine which option may be the better fit.
-
Yes. Soluna Soulwork offers small, supportive therapy groups focused on healing, self-understanding, and meaningful change. Current groups may explore topics such as childhood wounds, relationship patterns, boundaries, self-worth, and self-trust. Visit the Groups page to see current offerings and registration information.
-
A consultation is a brief conversation to learn more about what brings you to therapy, what you’re hoping to work on, and which Soluna service may best support your needs. It’s also an opportunity for you to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels like a good fit.
-
Individual therapy typically takes place in 60- or 90-minute sessions and allows us to work together over time. Therapy intensives offer a longer, more focused block of time to explore a specific concern, pattern, or area of healing. Some clients choose traditional individual therapy, while others may use an intensive as a complement to ongoing therapy or as a focused therapeutic experience.
-
The first step is to schedule a brief consultation. We’ll talk about what brings you to Soluna Soulwork, what you’re hoping to work on, and which service may be the best fit for your needs. If we decide to move forward, you’ll receive the information you need to schedule your first session and prepare for our work together.
